Artwork Guidelines

Tierney Signs offers an in-house Graphic Design service if you are unable to provide the artwork required. However, if you would like to supply your own print-ready artwork, take a quick look at these guidelines before you place your order. To save you time and to help ensure your artwork is in the best possible format for print, please check the following:

File types accepted:

We require VECTOR art (line art). These files generally are quite small and are fully editable.

Examples of vector files we accept are:

  • .ai - Illustrator files
  • .eps - Illustrator EPS (as opposed to Photoshop EPS)
  • .cdr - Corel Draw
  • .pdf - Acrobat Pdf (only if created in vector, most are created in raster)

File Size:

Provided artwork must be under 10mb in size.

Files under 10mb can be emailed to us.

For files larger than 10mb, please supply artwork on a USB or Upload via www.wetransfer.com

Fonts & Typefaces

Please make sure all fonts used in artwork are converted to outlines or curves to ensure accuracy. Alternatively, you can send us a copy of the font file.

Colours:

Please advise of specific PMS or CMYK colours on your design; percentage of PMS colours and half tones should be avoided.

We will endeavour to match your colours correctly, however, not all printing processes can match this exactly.

Every colour output mechanism - whether it’s Vinyl, Digital or Paint - produces a colour variance so be aware that each material and substrate will render colour differently.
